Open-Air Museum Arnheim

And on to the third day - the open-air museum in Arnhem. It is right next to the zoo and just as beautiful in a forest and meadow landscape, inside a tram runs and there are always small show performances. Really very nicely done.

Max Pechstein im Ahlener Kunstmuseum - I should put this on my calendar, he is one of my favorite Expressionists (alongside Schmidt-Rottluff and Kirchner) - the pictures in their colorfulness are simply the greatest for me.

Pängelanton

The Karnevalsverein Pängelanton operates a small railway museum in Münster Gremmendorf and in front of it stands this black-and-red beauty built in 1902. I am a railway enthusiast and this little locomotive is indeed a rarity that also motivates visitors from farther regions to visit. Photo taken with the Ricoh GRD II.

Night of Museums in MĂĽnster

As every year, the long night of museums in MĂĽnster took place again. However, something must have happened compared to last year. Last year, the interest was indeed great, but it could still be described as quite bearable. In the museums, one could move through the rooms - albeit with more visitors than usual. Only the Picasso Museum was already overcrowded last year and was only allowed to enter in groups.

This time, that was unthinkable - the State Museum of Art and Culture is not exactly small. Nevertheless, one could no longer get into some rooms because of the sheer number of people - who then, with guided tours, turned into real visitor traffic jams, making entire parts of the museum inaccessible.

Absolutely crazy the whole thing. Real hordes of people moved through the city and blew the collective attack on the museums. Somehow slightly surreal the whole thing

Large Bridge Exhibition in Berlin

I think I really need to go to Berlin urgently: "BrĂĽcke"-Exhibition at the Neue Nationalgalerie.

The exhibition "BrĂĽcke and Berlin - 100 Years of Expressionism" brings together 500 paintings, prints, and sculptures, featuring key works by Emil Nolde, Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, Karl Schmidt-Rottluff, and Erich Heckel from the collections of the "BrĂĽcke" Museum Berlin, the Berlin Kupferstichkabinett, and the Nationalgalerie.

Artists of the BrĂĽcke in Essen and MĂĽnster. In MĂĽnster I will definitely go, but Essen is only a regional train ride away and I probably won't miss that either.
