Zabel German Road Champion

So this Zabel - as a sprinter, simply pulling off a 40 km long solo and becoming German champion is quite an achievement against the competition. Maybe he can come to terms with no longer being world number one. And it's not that many points, so he can certainly still make up some ground. But I'm rooting for him for the Tour, he's simply one of the most likeable cyclists. Besides, he's from right around here Here's the original article.

Winokurow wins Tour de Suisse

Nice success for Team Telekom!

Former Coast Sports Director Hires Lawyer

Oh man, what a mess. Couldn't they just get back into the press with cycling performances? A "well-rested" 12th place at the Tour de Suisse is certainly not what I had in mind...

Ullrich will start at Tour

Well then, let's go.

Transfer fee for Ullrich?

Aaaargh. Rip-off artists, dimwits, armchair cyclists and penny-pinchers. Feel free to distribute these labels among those involved as you see fit ...

Well, then a tour without Jan Ullrich. Let's watch once again as Beloki rides behind Armstrong

Ullrich separates from Coast

Oh my goodness. Will he quickly get a new contract to participate in the Tour? It would certainly be nice, who knows when he'll be in such good form again as this year ...

It's a shame about the Coast team itself though. Good people in it who now have to look for a new team.

Ullrich back to Telekom?

So I think he should go to Bjarne Riis. But they probably don't pay well enough for him. That's a shame, really – a driver with that talent and a sports director with Tour experience, that could be really great.

Jan Ullrich on the Verge of Jumping

And come on, now let's finally settle this once and for all, I want to know whether Ullrich will ride the Tour or not. That Mr. Dahms must be a strange fellow ...

Jan Ullrich in good form

Getting off to a good start. Now it'll really be exciting to see how he positions himself in the Tour. Of course, he certainly won't have a chance against Armstrong this year, but it'll be interesting to see how he compares with other top riders (who would that be this year? Beloki again?).

5th Stage goes to Team Telekom

Hey, is Wino practicing for the tour?

At tagesschau im Internet I found the original article.

Team Telekom: Six Newcomers

Hmm. Together with Coast's restructuring around Ullrich, the next Tour will really be exciting. Not necessarily because I expect serious attacks on Armstrong, but the two teams against each other and compared to the others - some of which have also undergone major restructuring - will be very interesting.

And yes, I'm back from Munich. Conclusion? The weather there is just as foggy as here ...

At tagesschau im Internet you can find the original article.

Ullrich drives for Coast

Ullrich rides for Coast - I don't give him many chances for the Tour in 2003, but it will certainly be interesting to see what Coast can accomplish.

Pevenage leaves Team Telekom

Pevenage leaves Team Telekom - a shame, his team management was really good, even if the Tour victory only worked out twice. Well, with the whole team in transition, it was perhaps exactly the right time. The main thing is that the magenta train keeps going (and more reliably than the railway)
